Rose Kemigisa, a 29 year old house maid working for Grace Nawagga, a resident of Mpala zone, in Katabi Town Council was on Friday rescued by Police from meeting her tragic end after a one Cosmas Alibaho who had been ringing her mobile Phone number several times for the past one week wanted to meet her over plans that he has since failed to clearly disclose to the Entebbe Police authorities.
Out of ingenuity and security consciousness, Kemigisa alerted a friend in a nearby Saloon about the unknown man who quickly tipped off Police that swung into action and tasked Kemigisa to cooperate in the arrest of the Man.
Police camped at “Kebba Inn stage” in Mpala zone where Kemigisa was waiting for the man who was coming from Kampala. Shortly after getting out of the Taxi, he greeted Kemigisa but was arrested minutes later after he started making uncoordinated statements claiming that all along he thought he was communicating with his “sister”.
Rose Kemigisa revealed that the Man (Cosmas Alibaho) had a Polythene Bag (Kaveera) which contained packed Chips.
Richard Anvuku, the Entebbe Police CIID Officer confirmed the arrest and detention of Cosmas Alibaho and said that the suspect has been charged with attempt to commit a felony under SD REF: 66/01/09/2017. Anvuku revealed that Cosmas Alibaho will be interrogated so as to disclose how he got Kemigisa’s mobile Phone number and why of all places, he chose to execute his mission in Katabi Town Council an area that has witnessed nine women have been killed over unknown motive.
Anvuku disclosed that Alibaho Cosmas was successfully arrested because of the neighbourhood watch, Mayumba Kumi security system and vigilance from Entebbe and Katabi Town Council residents which is yielding positive results.
