The Entebbe Handling Services staff (ENHAS) and the entire Entebbe Airport fraternity are coming to terms with the untimely death of Maria Apeduno, a cargo coordinator that occurred on Tuesday at 3pm. It’s not yet clear what caused her death however close family sources revealed that she fainted at her residence in Airline Quarters, Kiwafu Central and when she was rushed to Victoria Medical Centre she was pronounced dead.
She was preparing to report for her second night at work but unfortunately the almighty God called her. The body was rushed to Mulago Hospital for a postmortem and she will be laid to rest in Okumel village, Ngora District on Friday at 2pm.
Maria Apeduno, one of Enhas’ longest serving employees was aged 54 years and was planning to retire this year in November. She is survived by three kids. A source disclosed that the deceased was suffering from pressure though Entebbenews cannot independently verify the reports.
Maria Apeduno who was affectionately known as Madam Maria by Enhas Cargo Staff lived an exemplary life and was a mentor, a friend, a teacher and above all a mother. May Her Soul RIP.
