The Entebbe Knight Riders began their first home game of the season on Sunday at the tranquil Entebbe Basketball court with a resounding 78-67 victory against Luzira based Vegetarian Basketball team. Vegetarian garnered a total of 16 and 22 points in the first two quarters after they outpaced Knight Riders who only managed to garner 8 and 17 points. With a sizeable crowd of fans morale boosting them, Knight Riders returned upbeat and dominated the final two quarters with 23 and 28 points while Vegetarian only garnered 13 and 16 points.

Towering and charismatic Rogers Odiama aka ODB, former top flight Basketball league player Collin Mukiza, Tonda Andrew and Brian Esuule are some of the Entebbe born talents who are behind Knight Riders’ success and have consistently featured for the team irrespective of the challenges.

Knight riders has boosted its squad for the season with the recruitment of three players Mark Okot, Emmanuel Osire and Nicholas Akora, another Entebbe born talent. Knight riders will host Diamonds in the Sun on Saturday July 8 in their second home game.
